Description:

Each year, Casey Family Programs recognizes individuals who have positively impacted the child welfare system. This profile served as an introduction at their Annual Meeting to Ms. Blocker - a Family Partner who encourages parents with children involved in the child welfare system to recognize the positive attributes of their family members. Through her own experience with the child welfare system, Ms. Blocker knows what it feels like to be a parent going through an investigation without any support.

Description:

CellNetix is a highly subspecialized 50 physician and employee-owned partnership that emerged from 4 Washington groups that had been servicing their hospitals, physicians, and communities for over 40 years. No venture capital was involved in startup of CellNetix, just some concerned doctors who saw where pathology was headed and felt they could better advance patient care and their chosen profession as a combined larger entity.

"To go somewhere and know that you’re home, it changes your life.”
Theo was among the first children that Casey Family Programs worked with when the foundation was created in 1966. That’s how he met his forever family, who legally adopted him on his graduation day. Martin currently runs Island Soul, a restaurant in Seattle’s Columbia City neighborhood. It’s a family affair, sparked by his father’s earlier business venture, and now carried on by Theo’s son and daughter.
